Letter from the Con-Chair

I would like to take this moment to thank you again for joining us in our 4th year. We tried to make our transition to the convention center as smoothly as possible and for the most part succeeded. However, there has been numerous feedback coming in after the con about how some of you were treated at the center by the conventon center staff, most notably the security staff that Anime Blues were not affliated with.

If you have not figured out by now, I take all feedback seriously. In fact, with this recent development, I have taken this to the highest officials of the Convention Center including the President and VP of the Memphis Convention & Visitors Bureau. In response, they have sent me a letter that I would like to share with you.

With over 3100 attendees and growing, there are only a handful of places we can hold our event moving forward. It is important that we have a working relationship with these places and in return, the owners of these venues are starting to take us seriously as well.

Thank you all for your continuing support and keep the feedback and comments coming!

Mr. George Min

Anime Blues Con

Dear Mr. Min:

Thank you for taking time to meet with us about your most recent Anime Blues Con at the Memphis Cook Convention Center. We were honored to have the opportunity to host the event, and we take your concerns and the concerns of your attendees very seriously.

As we discussed, the Memphis Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Memphis Cook Convention Center would love to host Anime Blues Con in the future and are prepared to make the necessary changes to encourage you and your attendees to return.

For your attendees who felt they were mistreated, we sincerely apologize. The security contractor used for Anime Blues Con will not be allowed to return for your event. We will take extraordinary steps to ensure all Convention Center personnel and contractors are highly trained and sensitive to the nature of your event. They will at all times exhibit only the highest level of customer service and only the present an attitude of appreciation for your guests.

Should we have the opportunity to host the Anime Blues Con, you have our personal guarantee that all of your guests will be satisfied with their experience.

Thank you again for allowing us to be a part of this year's event. We hope to work with you again in the future.
